Recording the Album

Hey Folks,

We just finished recording the album at Woodstock Studio's in Melbourne. Paul McKercher engineered the session and Laura Jean helped myself and the ESEA on production duties.

We had lots of guests including Liz Stringer banjo, Jodi Ludwig-Moore (Dirty Lucy) mandolin, Grant Cummerford (Jeff Lang) double bass , Kynan Robinson (Des Peres) trombone , Eamon McNelis trumpet, Ben Carr saxophone, Rachel Kim violin and Ross Calia on piano.

Our current line-up includes Biddy Connor viola (the Droid now resides in Spain!), Laura Jean piano and vocals, Jen Sholakis drums, Lord Geoffrey bass, Michael Hubbard guitar and Tom Healy (our new kiwi axeman). It's a big band and it's sounding like a much bigger album sonically.

We start mixing the first single this week and should have something for you in the near future.

Our album is scheduled for release early 2009 and we are announcing a November tour in the next few days.

Stay posted as JC/ESEA camp starts up again for your listening pleasure! We just put up a new photo album of the sessions on our facebook and myspace pages, all photos were taken by our friend Rebekah Davies.
